Proffesor in Choir Conducting at the <em>Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy<\/em>, Cluj-Napoca<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conductor <strong>Ciprian Para<\/strong>, Associate Professor, PhD at the \u201cGheorghe Dima\u201d National Academy of Music, began his musical training at the \u201cIon Vidu\u201d Music High School in Timi\u0219oara, continuing his studies at the \u201cGheorghe Dima\u201d Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca, specializing in Academic Choral Conducting under Professor Florentin Mih\u0103escu. After completing his university studies, Ciprian Para further refined his skills at the \u201cSanta Cecilia\u201d Conservatory in Rome and attended conducting courses in Sion (Switzerland), Montilla, and Melilla (Spain), expanding his knowledge in both choral and orchestral conducting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has conducted over 600 concerts with ensembles such as the Ave Musica Choir of the \u201cGheorghe Dima\u201d Academy of Music, Cappella Transylvanica Choir, Antifonia Choir, the Symphony Orchestra of the \u201cSigismund Todu\u021b\u0103\u201d Music High School, Theophania Choir, Vox Transylvana Choir, Astra Choir, as well as other choral and orchestral ensembles, including the choirs and symphony orchestras of the philharmonics in Bra\u0219ov, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Sibiu, and Timi\u0219oara. A particularly valuable experience for the conductor has been his concerts performed in France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Hungary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He obtained his PhD in Music in 2003 with the thesis <em>The Conducting Approach as a Factor in the Fulfillment of an Interpretative Conception<\/em>, marking another dimension of his activity\u2014musicological research\u2014closely connected to conducting practice, and reflected in two volumes published in 2005: <em>Interpretative Conception in the Conducting Approach<\/em> and <em>The Conductor\u2019s Relationship with the Musical Ensemble<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The artistic activity of conductor Ciprian Para is closely linked to his teaching career, and his repertoire encompasses works from diverse genres, stylistically illustrating the major periods in the history of universal and Romanian music, included in choral anthologies and on CDs released both in Romania and abroad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ciprian Para \u2013 Permanent conductor of the Ave Musica Student Choir, PhD Assoc.
